About the course

UWS’s BSc (Hons) Web & Mobile Development will teach you the skills to make the most out of the internet’s capabilities.

Using the latest tools, techniques and scripting languages, you’ll develop expertise in systems design and analysis and learn how to develop responsive, interactive and secure web and mobile solutions.

Developing technical and practical know-how will allow you to establish and manage secure web servers and create and maintain web material.

  • This degree will equip you with the skills required to design, develop and maintain secure web services and mobile applications.
  • The BSc (Hons) Web and Mobile Development has been designed in collaboration with leading companies to ensure you graduate with the skills that meet industry demand.
  • Thanks to its strong industry links, this degree features regular guest lectures from experienced industry professionals, company visits and employer networking events.
  • UWS’s BSc (Hons) Web and Mobile Development is recognised by the British Computer Society as fully meeting the educational requirements for Chartered IT Professional registration.

  • Scottish Highers: BCC (69 UCAS Tariff points)
  • A levels: DDD (72 UCAS points)
  • Irish Leaving Certificate: H3 H3 H3
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: 24 points
  • Scottish Widening Access Programme: Access to STEM or Access to Engineering – BBB
  • Scottish Advanced Highers: CCD (112 UCAS Tariff points) including Computing Science
  • A levels: BCC (104 UCAS Tariff points) including Computer Science
  •  International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: 28 points
  • SQA HNC / BTEC Level 4 HNC: Computing or Multimedia or Information Systems or Internetworking or other relevant discipline
  • SQA HND / BTEC Level 5 HND: Computing or Multimedia or Information Systems or Internetworking or Computing: Software Development or Computing: Technical Support or Web Development & Interactive Media or Web Development or Digital Design & Development or other relevant discipline
