About the course

UWS’s BEng (Hons) Engineering Management top-up degree will develop your problem-solving, organisational, planning and management skills.

Using our industry-standard facilities, you’ll get plenty of opportunities to hone your practical abilities so that you can put your best foot forward in the workplace.

  • This degree will prepare you for a career in planning, supervisory or project management roles in the engineering industry.
  • Our industry-standard engineering facilities will allow you to put your knowledge into practice and increase your skillset.
  • Yellow Belt and Green Belt Lean Six Sigma courses accredited by the Institute of Six Sigma Professionals (ISSP) are available through the BEng Engineering Management.
  • Field visits to organisations including BAE, Tata Steel and Diageo will further your understanding of the issues that affect the engineering industry.
  • Upon completing this degree, you’ll have the knowledge and experience required to successfully oversee complex engineering projects from beginning to end.
  • The BEng specialises in Project Management and continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma, within an Engineering context.

Entry Requirements

  • SQA HND / BTEC Level 5 HND / Foundation Degree: Any Engineering or related discipline: Aircraft Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Technology, Engineering Systems, Engineering: Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering
