Launch your career in business with the University of the West of Scotland’s BA Business degree programme.

Developed in partnership with business and industry leaders at the forefront of their profession, this programme will equip you with the skills and attitude to meet the challenges of a stimulating career in business.

You can also tailor this programme to suit your interests and career goals, with a number of optional modules available throughout the course of your study.

Whether you are interested in enterprise and entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, economics, law, or human resources, this programme provides the opportunity to learn many important business disciplines.

  • Whether your aim is to start and run your own business or to work for leading national and international organisations, the BA Business programme will open up endless opportunities for you.
  • This programme has been developed in partnership with business and industry leaders to ensure you graduate with the desired skills and experience that employers are looking for.
  • It combines a broad base of learning, with the flexibility to tailor your degree in subsequent years to align with your own interests and career goals.
  • On completing the BA Business programme, you can apply for part- exemptions from Chartered Management Institute (CMI) exams – saving you money and helping you gain further qualifications more quickly.

Entry Requirements

  • Scottish Highers: CCC (63 UCAS Tariff points) including English
  • A levels: CD (56 UCAS Tariff points) plus GCSE English Language
  • Irish Leaving Certificate: H3H3H4 or H3H4H4 inc English
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: 24 points (with 4 subjects at H4)
  • Scottish Wider Access Programme: Access to Humanities BBB
  • BTEC Extended Diploma: MMM in related subjects
  • Scottish Advanced Highers: BBB (144 UCAS Tariff points) including English
  • A levels: BBB (120 UCAS Tariff points) including English
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: 28 points
  • SQA HNC: Business, Business Management, Administration & IT, Event Management, Events, Travel & Tourism or other related subjects
  • BTEC Extended Diploma: DDM in related subjects
  • SQA HND / BTEC Level 5 HND: Business, Business Management, Administration & IT, Event Management, Events, Travel & Tourism or other related subjects

UCAS Track

You should use UCAS Track to keep up-to-date with your Undergraduate application. Your UCAS Track account will be updated once a decision has been made on your application and you’ll be notified.

Fees & Funding
