Become a human resource management professional with our BA (Hons) Business & Human Resource Management.

Underpinned by contemporary academic theory, the BA (Hons) Business & Human Resource Management programme will equip you with the practical skills and critical thinking required to make a positive impact in this professional area or to continue on to postgraduate study.

On successful completion of the Honours programme, you’ll obtain a Level 5 (Intermediate) qualification from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Minimum Entry Requirments

Year 1

Scottish Highers: BCC (69 UCAS Tariff points) including English
A levels: DDD (72 UCAS Tariff points) plus GCSE English Language
Irish Leaving Certificate: H3 H3 H4
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: 24 points
Scottish Wider Access Programme: Access to Humanities BBB

Year 2

Scottish Advanced Highers: BBB (144 UCAS tariff points) including English
A levels: BBB (120 UCAS Tariff points) including English and Mathematics
International Baccalaureate (IB) Degree: 28 points
SQA HNC / BTEC Level 4 HNC: Human Resource Management or Business or Management & Leadership (with releveant content)
SQA HND: Business – if it includes all of the core modules (below), you will be offered Year 2 entry; if your HND does not include all of the core modules (below) then you will be offered Year 1 entry to the degree:
- HRM Core Activities
- HRM: An Introduction
- Managing People and Organisations

Year 3

SQA HND / BTEC Level 5 HND: Human Resource Management
SQA HND / BTEC Level 5 HND: Business or Management & Lesadership: if you have completed the following core modules, you will be offered entry in Year 3 of the degree; if you do not have all of the following core units / modules, then you will be offered entry to Year 2 of the degree:
- HRM Core Activities
- HRM: An Introduction
- Managing People and Organisations
- Behavioural Skills for Business
- Business Culture and Strategy
