Train to become a professionally qualified Community Educator with our UWS BA (Hons) Community Education degree.

This degree is perfect for those already interested in working with young people, adults and communities, to facilitate their critical and social education.

Teaching is underpinned by theories and practices relating to youth and community work, equality and social justice, wellbeing and community empowerment.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Scottish Highers: BCC (69 UCAS Tariff points) including English
  • A levels: DDD (72 UCAS Tariff points)
  • Irish Leaving Certificate: H3 H3 H3 including English
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: 24 points
  • Scottish Widening Access Programme: Access to Humanities or Access to Social Work or Access to Primary Education, all must nclude Grades BBB
  • Scottish Advanced Highers: BBB (144 UCAS Tariff points)
  • A levels: BBB (120 UCAS Tariff points)
  • SQA HNC / BTEC Level 4 HNC: Working in/with Communities or Social Care or Sport in Communities or Community Arts or Additional Support Needs or Social Sciences or Childhood Practice or Social Services or Counselling
