About the course

Understanding how to manage, motivate and reward the people of an organisation can make a decisive contribution in the success of a business or organisation.   

The BA Business & Human Resource Management has been developed in partnership with industry, employers and professional associations to equip you with the knowledge and skills that business leaders look for.   

Not only will you learn how to successfully manage and organise a business, you’ll also gain core skills in HRM, including workforce management and development.

The BA Business & Human Resource Management is recognised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).  

Upon successful completion of the course you will become eligible for Associate Membership of the CIPD.

Entry Requirements

  • Scottish Highers: BBBC (96 UCAS Tariff points) including English plus SQA National 5 (Grade C, or above) / Standard Grade (Credit) Maths
  • A levels: CCD (88 UCAS Tariff points) plus GCSE English Language and Maths
  • Irish Leaving Certificate: H3 H3 H4 H4 including English plus OL Maths
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: 24 points (4 subjects at H4)
  • Scottish Wider Access Programme: Access to Humanities BBB
  • Scottish Advanced Highers: BBB (144 UCAS tariff points) including English plus SQA National 5 (Grade C, or above) / Standard Grade (Credit) Maths
  • A levels: BBB (120 UCAS Tariff points) including English and Maths
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Degree: 28 points
  • SQA HNC / BTEC Level 4 HNC: Human Resource Management
  • SQA HND: Business – if it includes core modules (below), you will be offered Year 2 entry; if your HND does not include all of the following core modules then you will be offered Year 1 entry to the degree:
  • HRM Core Activities
  • HRM: An Introduction
  • Managing People and Organisations
  • SQA HND / BTEC Level 5 HND Business: if you have completed the following core module, you will be offered entry in Year 3 of the degree; if you do not have all of the following modules, then you will be offered entry to Year 2 of the degree:

  • Behavioural Skills for Business

UCAS Track

Clearing drop-in sessions

Our clearing drop-in sessions will be taking place simultaneously at both our Paisley and Lanarkshire campuses on Thursday 8th and Thursday 15th of August from 3.00 – 6.00pm.

Our student recruitment team and ambassadors will be on-hand to give you advice about your potential study options and what you are eligible to apply for.

If you already have your results, we’ll even be able to take you through your UCAS application if you wish to apply on-the-spot.
