Brian’s experience of UWS and the support he received from the University teams, has built his confidence and enabled him to chase his dreams of excelling in academia.
"In my first semester I was questioning why it was taking me longer to understand things and to read things. I spoke to my personal tutor, who set up an appointment with the (UWS) psychology team and I got tested for dyslexia and ADHD – which came back as positive. It gave me the biggest confidence boost ever. And an ego boost as well, in a sense, because I’d not been strong academically through school and college. The University gave me the tools to learn differently; the tools that I needed to be able to flourish. And it’s led me to be able to chase my dreams.”
